1. The Pyramid Lake striper bite stays in the top picks and moves to the top spot. Lots of 10-fsih limits of fish around two pounds with some to five pounds this past week. The best bite has been on cut baits and lug worms, and there are also some catfish showing in this bite. 2. The bite on big bluegill at Lake Perris has been good over the past four weeks, and this bite stays in the top picks this week. There have been a lot of fish to two pounds or better caught in recent days. The fish are showing around much of the lake, but the backside of the island has been a hotspot. Crickets, red worms, wax worms, and meal worms have all be good, and many anglers are fishing small jigs tipped with bait. For an update, check with the marina staff at 951-657-2179.
3. Quail Lake has busted wide open and is kind of a local secret. The bite has been good for bluegill, largemouth, stripers, and catfish this past week, but it is getting surprisingly little fishing pressure. The bluegill and bass are best along the south shoreline tules, while the stripers and catfish have been best at the aqueduct outlet and along the north shore to the inlet.
